How to convert dung manure into the organic matter?
- Underground or pit method.
- Heap method on the ground
In the pit underground method, dung manure is dug in a pit and placed in it to decompose. This method is more useful for dry or cold weather as the manure contained in the pot for decomposition does not dry out or cool inside the pit. In this method, manure is usually kept in layers by making a 1.5 deep trench. However, the size of the pit can be increased or decreased depending on the amount of manure.Dung / Organic matter is collected in the form of piles on the surface of the earth in the form of piles on the surface and left to decompose. This method is useful in the rainy season.
The rest of the process of both methods is the same which is as follows:
- Before laying the dung, some straw, rice or wheat, etc. should be spread on the floor and separated from the ground surface.
- Lay a 30 cm thick layer of dung and put 100 g urea and 200 g phosphorus TSP on it.
- Continue this process until the pit is full and keep all the organic matter in layers.
- When the organic matter reaches a height of 250 cm, apply a layer of soil on it so that the organic matter decomposes.
- After four to five months, this organic matter decomposes and turns into organic fertilizer.
